Mitosis and Cytokinesis
Mitosis consists of 4 stages prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Prophase is when chromosomes wind up and become visable, centrolies move to opposite sides of the cell, and spindle fibers attach to the chromosomes. Metaphase is when the tension from the spindle fibers align the chromosomes. Anaphase takes the spindle fibers pull the sister chromatids apart. The final phase is telophase which starts with the cell to begin to divide, spindle fibers start to disapper, and the chromosomes become less condensed. Cytokinesis all that happens is the cytoplam seperates.
